HANDSTAND FLOW LAB W/ YUVAL OZ

Stop holding handstands. Start moving in them.

Most people train handstands as a position. This workshop is about learning how to move.

Over two days, we'll explore how to make your handstand lighter, more efficient and more expressive by connecting entries, shapes and transitions into one continuous flow.

What we’ll explore?

DAY ONE —Foundations & Movement

We'll refine the fundamentals of the handstand — balance, efficiency and body awareness — and explore how small adjustments can completely change the way your handstand feels. We'll work on different entries, including Kick Up, Tuck Up, Straddle Up, Pike Up and Cartwheel Entry, focusing not only on the techniques themselves, but on the principles behind them. From there, we'll explore different body shapes and learn how to move smoothly between them, turning static handstands into continuous, intentional movement.

DAY TWO —Flow & Creativity

On the second day, we'll bring everything together through dynamic transitions, creative exercises and guided improvisation.

Partner drills, movement challenges and creative tasks will help you develop your own movement vocabulary and learn how to create combinations rather than simply memorize them.

We'll finish by creating personal handstand flows combining everything we've explored — and, if the group is up for it, we'll put them to music.

This workshop is for you if

  • You can hold a freestanding handstand for around 20-30 seconds or longer.

  • You're comfortable practicing away from the wall.

  • You want to move with more control, efficiency and creativity.

  • You're looking for a deeper understanding of handstand movement, not just more tricks.

Whether you come from handbalancing, circus, calisthenics, movement or simply love being upside downHandstand Flow Lab will give you practical tools to move with more freedom, confidence and creativity on your hands.

I was seven years old the first time I stood on a professional stage. I didn't know then that I'd spend the rest of my life looking for new ways to perform — but looking back, it makes complete sense.

Yuval Oz

I'm a circus performer, a professional hand balancer, and a teacher. I've been teaching handstands since 2008 — to hundreds of students across the world, from complete beginners to elite movers. And somewhere along the way I discovered that my love for teaching is no smaller than my love for performing.

This is my story. And probably a little bit of yours too.
